Governor Anies Receives Jakarta KI Performance Report

The Jakarta Information Commission (KI) as a driving force and an executor of the Openness of Public Information, submitted an official accountability report (LPJ) to Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the executive meeting room of the City Hall, on Tuesday (3/2).

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan received and gave appreciation to them for the performance report and work together to face the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Last year was a historic year, we are all called to face problems. Therefore we share in playing a role," he disclosed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

KI Encourages PPID to Create Information Service Innovation and Creativity

He hoped that they could play a better role considering last year's situation was different due to budget refocusing.

"Let's discuss together for the future. Thank you for contributing to increasing the commitment to open public information, which has become part of the city's common vision," he uttered.

Jakarta KI Chairperson Harry Ara Hutabarat revealed that he said the performance report was a form of commitment and discipline from an institution that was accountable to the Governor in accordance with the mandate of Article 28, the KIP Law 14/2008.

"Where we're responsible to the governor and submit reports on the implementation of functions, duties and powers to the DPRD concerned. The Commission A also has received the report on February 16," he stated.

He furthered the various achievements of KI's performance had been realized, as well as his hopes for a future towards a more informative society.

"Despite we're still in the pandemic situation, state institutions continuously run their obligations and be accountable for performance. Carrying out obligations will foster public trust, checks and balances to be more trustworthy, more accountable thus they have a good name," he added.
